Happiness Maker by ameiru – NanoFate and Vivio doujin

HappinessMaker preview

So it just so happened that someone I know was at our local anime convention. While making a stop by the doujin (and dakimakura) booth, they came across what was the only not-hentai Nanoha doujin to be found. Knowing me and that I have access to a whole Nanoha scanlation team, they decided to pick up the doujin on my behalf with barely so much as a second thought. And that’s how this team got saddled with one of the most overwhelmingly yuri doujins I’ve ever seen.

With that preamble out of the way, this red-inked tribute to the Takamachi Family takes off, guns blazing from the very start. This isn’t some slow burn journey through the subtext and nuances of Nanoha and Fate’s relationship. This is Vivio being old enough to ask the most direct question she could have possibly asked of her two moms.

Author ameiru brings us this sticky-sweet entry about an unconventional family coming to terms with themselves and quelling their doubts and worries about what each other thinks of the matter. It’s a fast ride into tender love and acceptance in this extra-fluffy, sugar-packed story that grabbed subtly and bashed it over with a yuri-shaped mallet.

This reminds me of a fanfic I once read called ‘Vivio’s Quest for Understanding’.
