So I’m confused. This takes place after the most recent volume in japan that hasn’t been released in English yet, correct?

It’s about a year after the events of Nanoha ViVid.
So yeah, this is well after everything we’re reading now. My guess is at least in Japan they’ve seen enough that nothing in ViVid Strike! should make for any big spoilers.

Yes this happens at least after current storyline. The biggest unknown for us waiting for the translations is the Enclave girl, the manager/physical therapist from this episode, who we JUST met in the latest issue of translated manga and is Einhearth’s class representative.

The only other spoiler so far was that team Nakajima are running a gym (duh) and that Myra managed to switch teams (Hayate must be getting weak in her old age if she allowed her to escape 🙂 ).

Awww, now that aRon/TheRon started doing it too, there will be fragmentation of resources again :/
(It’s the guy who did Vivid TV subs which were done well + he listened to feedback, so he should do decent job here, too.)

It’s not like this isn’t a common occurrence for fansubs. Either way, we’ll be continuing our version with our added touch.

So, out of curiosity, what does this mean for the manga translation work? Further slowdown with an added project, or is this just fitting in where Anthology was, since that’s now completed?

The people working on the fansub are a completely different set of people working on the manga. So none of this will have any impact on the ViVid manga. That’s it’s own thing to get the whip cracking on.

That should be the plan. We already have the idea of doing a “version 2” for any episodes that required any touch ups after their initial release. So more likely than not, we will do an archive release when that becomes possible.

With the developments in the recent episode 3 (which we’ll be releasing pretty soon), I’d take that this is set after the whole run of Nanoha Vivid itself, based also on the OP song where we can see a fully awake Ixpellia (in her own body). So I guess that’s a safe guesstimate.

People on Nyaa Torrents are saying you doing hardsubs is a bad idea. You gonna listen to that? Personally, I don’t care, as long as I get great translations I don’t mind if they are hard or soft subs.
