Vivid Translations Fansubs ViVid Strike!

Yes, that’s right. Our little group is taking our collective expertise on the translation side of things, combining it with the accumulated knowledge from our scanlation of Lyrical Nanoha ViVid, and topping it all off with a unexpected know-how of fansubbing.

just want to ask. on manga translation, you use the name asreon (teo), so why in vivid strike it became tio?

Asteon is the official name. “Tio” (or Teo) is and has always been the informal name. This is the same as Vivio’s device being officially named “Sacred Heart” but is informally called “Cris” (or Chris).

Let me guess, the subs will be released 2 weeks after the episode aired every time?

Cheeky. But we didn’t even plan on doing this until the series was already 2 episodes in. We should have ep 2 up before the weekend.
At this pace, I don’t think delays between the initial release and ours won’t be that long.

To be completely upfront: I forgot what our naming convention had been and just defaulted to the kana (アスティオン = Asution).

Thanks for catching this! We’ll discuss it and keep it in mind for future episodes.

In my eyes, “Tio” and “Teo” are read the same way. But that’s probably not true for everyone.
“Teo” clearly shows that it came from “Asteon”.
“Tio” more easily shows how it’s spoken.

At some point though, we do have to pick one and stick with it.
We’ll probably make a v2 of these episodes when the bluray rips are available.
But for now, just know that Einhart didn’t suddenly get another cat. 😛
