Yes it could be good since they are no longer fighitng using the stupid tournament rules so they can cut loose a bit. On the other hand I still don’t see any protective systems running like they had back in Vivid.

What is likely going to spoil the fight for me if they aim to make Rinne win after showing how much she has “grown” so they can gift her the stupid title.

I was more excited for when they showed that basically the whole competition cast of Vivid was there, and for a split second I thought they might make this one nice free-for all amongst the competitors. That would ahve been fun. But no that ain’t happening.

Guys while I do find Rinne interesting she is actively ruining my enjoyment because I fear she might be a bit of a writer’s pet.

Also Jill BUHUHUHU, I’m so sad your stupid training ways that made the entire problem with Rinne like 10 times worse did not work.

Einhart: S-standing at the top as champion means accepting all challenges…!

    Fuuka: Ha-Haru-san…! T_T

Nove: Including accepting the consequences of your action…

    Michaiah: LOL

This has basically been set up to be be the sort of thing Fuuka used to do: an outright no-holds-barred street brawl.

At the very least she’s got the attitude down pat. It’s not the Hegemon-style unless you go in with the intent of total domination.

After watching this version of the episode I have mellowed out a bit. There are still things that I don’t like and they still have the problem with Rinne’s behaviour, but if you could cut Rinne and her stupidity out and if Fuka wins I will have a much more positive view of this episode.

I got round to watching the Episode this afternoon. Best compliment I can give is that it was not actually as bad as I feared it could be.

At least we get to see Einhart acting like Einhart again.

As I said this episode tries really hard to sell some feels of optimism and competitorship and I feel it would succeed had it not already poisoned the well during the previous episodes.

…Why is Sieg listed as the DSAA world champion? Did she lose at the inter-dimensional tournament? I find that hard to fathom.

Possibly, allthough I doubt it. More likely another lore snafu, where they forgot that Mid-Childa is not the entirety of TSA administered worlds.

  10. What I would have changed is have Rinne defeat Vivio in the previous episode and have Rinne pull out due to injury, the same thing Vivio did.

I didn’t like how Rinne was booked throughout this series and was made to look weaker than she should have been, I expected more from the undisputed #1 world ranker chasing Einhart and the world title, she should have been made to look strong.

The winner of that match was set to face Fuuka in the next round, so it would have given Einhart the same incentive to request that match with a title shot involved if Rinne was the winner.

No, the original mistake was making her out to be this special snowflake that is great at everything and is abrasive against others and then having Fuka, a newbie fight her in finale. They built her up too much. So as far as I’m concerned I’m glad that Vivio curb stomped her. Because that makes it just a tinsy bit more plausible that Fuka might be able to take her on in an unrestricted beat down.

Also she is far from an undisputed 1st world ranker. She is new player who has climbed to the top of the ranking but she hasn’t really fought champs before.
