ViVid Chapter 49 and A Call to Action

ViVid049_previewThe search for history through the archives of the Infinity Library comes to a crashing halt when the little witch finally shows herself and reveals her true power. You would do well not to underestimate a witch’s curse.

The action rises again as our little heroines fight for their lives in

Hold on, don’t go anywhere just yet. Remember when we said that things were slowing down? Well yeah, we weren’t kidding. Our pipeline isn’t nearly what it used to be since life happens and sometimes even our love for all things Nanoha has to take a back seat.

But it doesn’t have to stay that way! You can be the one to help get ViVid  back on track!

If you want to join our art team, then let us know by visiting our Contact page.

Everything we mentioned back  in our last casting call remains true. But just to sum things up quickly:

We need people who have access to HQ scans of chapters 50 and onward
or– would be able to unbind and scan from the books themselves.

We also need cleaners who know their way around a good image editor.
Cleaning out text, leveling out the artifacts post-scan, and redrawing images after removing obtrusive text; all these are skills needed to bring forward a quality scanlation.

If you want to see how the story of ViVid continues and you have the skills to make it happen, let us know.

    Thank you for the release~

If I had a job (curse being a poor college student) I would gladly help procure raws.

That’s really not even a problem anymore. A good chunk of us on the team (myself included) have the financial means to purchase books for scanning if we need to.

But we’re short on time to do the actual unbinding and scanning involved in that.
That’s something that can happen even (and sometimes especially) to college kids as well.

In my case I lack the skills needed to do that sort of work. I’d have no problem debinding and scanning if I had the proper talents.

Of course the risk of providing strangers with the books is that they could ghost on us once they get it. An individual volume is actually pretty cheap, but it could add up if it happens multiple times.

  4. I have the full Vol 10 if you are interested, it’s well scan (I think) anyway thanks for this chapter!!

If a scanning, there should be a volume 10 download. I found one here http://rawcs.net/11234.html .

It seems that all the download links for volume 10 on that page are broken.
Can anyone else confirm this? Also, be careful. Sites like that are shady as all hell. Click carefully.

    Thanks. This one works.
I’ll go over with the team to see if these are good enough to work with. They’re a bit smaller than our usual scans, so I’ll want to check with the art team first.

The FileOm link works. At any rate, they’re the same LQ scans Kinsei translates off of. They might be fine for a potential LQ release but for a standard release I think we need better.

    Thanks, though.

    UPDATE
In case anyone comes around wondering what we’re going to do about raws:

These LQ ones will be used for scripting, as we’ve always done.
But for the releases, we’ll be unbinding and scanning at least the next three volumes.

Shouldn’t the line on page 7 be “What is it with these ghastly forms?” or something like that?

Thank you for the release! It was another good chapter. It’s all the nicer to read these knowing an anime is confirmed.

Makes you wonder how they’re going to do the adaptation, what changes they might make, and how far into the series it’ll run.
