This is most excellent news. There was always a danger the lesser Nanoha manga, Force, would get animated instead. I’m really, really happy it’s Vivid.

    oh yeah good news.
but even force animated is cool too. weapons wise, force has more bad ass ones but vivid seems to bring back the feel of the original series not to mention it being more lighthearted with more comedy 😀 i like that hahahaha. but i personally like most of the franchise anyway =p

It ain’t Force, which I would prefer to see animated, but I ain’t complaining. A new Nanoha TV series after seven years is something I’ve been dying for.

GREAT! But, the manga isn’t finished right? I mean, is still on going right?
I don’t know! I just wanna watch it!

that means you’ll be fansubbing the series right? right?

I hate to say it, but no one on our team has the time or technical knowhow to do fansubbing.
That said, Nanoha is a pretty important franchise in the fansubbing world.
As soon as we see a fansub group take up ViVid, we’ll be posting about it here with all the relevant links.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it got picked up for a simulcast.

Considering what sort of lousy run of the mill shows get simulcast all the time, there would need to be a specific reason why Vivid wouldn’t.

Given that no company has any of the other Nanoha series or movies, I would be very surprised to see any American release.

That is true, Nana, but commercial streaming of anime in 2007 (Strikers) wasn’t as big as today (did it even exist?), so it’s somewhat understandable we haven’t seen any Nanoha simulcast. Vivid might be sufficiently non-sequel in nature also otherwise. In the end it’s all business, so who knows.

Sequel titles have been picked up for simulcasts before even when the preceeding series hasn’t (one example being SRW OG The Inspector). So Crunchyroll not having the other shows wouldn’t prevent Vivid from being picked up. In fact, it might cause them to go back and make the previous series available (SRW OG Divine Wars just got added).

Great news! I can’t wait to see it! Nevertheless, it’ll take a few years of work to air. I hope they animate Force as well.
